The 486Tang currently uses a regular desktop PC for keyboard and mouse io. This is something, the FPGA Companion can provide as well as a fast SD card integration. Thus I really think the 496Tang core and the MiSTle infrastructure would be a perfect match.

Now someone who's fond of early PC's make give it a go ...
