Please make auto compact less aggressive, it is compacting to much, even while writing to files, this is not good, this was NOT a problem in version 0.75.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Too much context

What is the expected behavior?

While auto compact is a very nice feature, it is compacting when not needed, make it less aggressive, at least avoid auto compact while writing/creating new files.

is auto compact in models hands? i dont think so. its a flaw in the cli tool. I am seeing in verson 0.78 model is performing way worse than in verson 0.75
