Error while signing up

When registering a new account, I get an error in the screenshot.
I really I'd like to not have to register to use this. I will be the only one using it. But at least I would like to resolve the error.

i'm not sure, but you should check the BL_API_ENDPOINT variable and point it to an external address, for example http://<docker host ip>:5000/, 'cause I suppose that the web interface redirect your browser to the api container for registration.

I had a similar error (Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'status')) with default BL_API_ENDPOINT=http://localhost:5000/, but when I changed it to BL_API_ENDPOINT=http://<my docker host ip>:5000/ then everything worked.

I'm not sure at 100%, but hope this helps.

The answer @zionio provided should hopefully be the one that fixes this issue.
I have gotten similar reports before and it is on the to-do list to improve the error messages and add easier ways to debug problems.

Regarding the requirement to create an account. Initially this project was created to be able to host several accounts on the same instance. I realize this is not a use case that many have. Adding a "single user mode" and thus disabling all authentication would be possible to implement but require several changes to the codebase.

@PratikVasagadekar - I will move your request for this feature into a separate issue and will take a look at how this could possibly be implemented in the future.

I'm getting this error as well, when trying to register or log in for the first time with a default user configured.

undefined is not an object (evaluating 'e.response.status')

I've tried with the BL_API_ENDPOINT variable as
http://localhost:port
http://myserver.local:port
http://ipaddress:port
and made a reverse proxy subdomain pointing to the api's port and tried using that

I'm running this on a Synology.

Installed yesterday and not been able to get past this error, tried the above with no luck.
