Feature Request: Application by Gear Piece and Racial Feature

Hey,
i am not sure if i am writing this request to the right plugin or if i should have suggested it to penumbra/glamourer/c+ but i had the following idea.
I would like to apply a preset to all characters (Not only defined/whitelisted chars) that are using a piece of gear or are a race + a set (number) tail of that race. This would make the following possible:

Race + tail detection:
For example if i would like to change the tail 2 of all raen auras to a mouse tail it would make it possible to apply a matching skin that i could set via the preset with a penumbra collection and maybe also apply a c+ template to shrink down the char by 50%.

Gear detection:
An example for gear detection would be to define that if the char has "frontier pumps" then apply the preset where footsteps sounds are overwritten to a clacking sound.

Since i am not really sure how many people would use these features or if this is outside the scope of the project i can fully understand if it will just be ignored but since i had the idea i wanted to suggest it.

The issue with rules based on current glam/customization, is that it is very easy to accidentally trigger an infinite loop.
For a simple example:
Rule 1: Wearing Frontier Pumps -> Swap to preset 1 -> preset contains glam design with 2B boots instead
Rule 2: Wearing 2B boots -> Swap to preset 2 -> preset contains glam design with Frontier Pumps

Of course, this is a simple example, with extremely specific swaps, but for race or something, its very easy to accidentally let through a design that includes being a Viera when you only trigger the rule if you are a Hyur or so.
I currently have a Pull Request for race based customization (not tail), and am looking for a way to solve this issue that is clean. Going further to other glams/customizations is not that big of a stretch, it just requires UI work to add in.

The main issue is a nice implementation of avoiding the infinite loops.

I am also not the main dev, nor can I guarantee that a solution will be found, nor can I guarantee that if one is found it is accepted!
Just wanted to give you a lil sneak peak at the issue surrounding this exact feature!

I’m not sure if this will help you, but I think I can give you some input, even though I’m probably not qualified enough to do so since I don’t know the inner workings of the mods. But at least I can try.

So, my idea is the following:

Events: You will need to track when a character/entity:

• Has a glamour plate manually applied or applied via glamourer automation.

• Changes gear.

• Is redrawn (though I’m not sure if you can differentiate between glamourer redraws, etc.).

Then, create a stack to track which DB rules have been applied and only allow you to apply further rules that are not already in the stack.

I’m not sure if this is the “clean” solution you’re searching for, and I’m also unsure if you can even track these events or if there’s any fault with my logic. But maybe you can make something out of this idea, so I wanted to share it with you. Keep up the good work!
