Describe the bug

I am trying to install via Odoo app store to my current build on Odoo 18. When i try to install i am getting errors.

Here are the errors after install:

Affected versions:
Odoo 18 sh

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to odoo app store and search for mass editing
2. Make sure version 18 is selected.
3. Click on Deploy on Odoo.sh
4. Click install on my odoo sh instance
5. Click install in my odoo sh environment
6. Wait for install and check for errors in build.
7. Get errors that are shown above in describe the bug.

Expected behavior
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

Would like to have a clean install and ready to use.

Those messages are symptoms (registry couldn’t be built), not the actual error. On Odoo.sh you’ll always see “Failed to load registry” + “Transient module states were reset” after some earlier exception.

Can you paste the full traceback right above that timestamp from the build logs? That will point to the real cause (typically: a missing dependency in depends, a Python import error, or an API change between 17→18 in models/views/assets).

• Quick isolation steps that usually pinpoint it fast on Odoo.sh:
• Try installing on a clean/staging DB with only this module (rules out conflicts with other addons).
• Verify the deployed code is truly 18.0-compatible (manifest may say 18 but code can still call 17-only APIs).
• If the traceback is an ImportError / missing lib: on Odoo.sh you may need the dependency packaged differently (or it simply can’t be installed via SaaS constraints).

If it’s a view/assets error: it’ll show the exact XML/asset bundle line that breaks on 18.

Once you share the traceback, it’s usually a 1-line fix (missing depends, renamed field/method, or a bad XML inherit).
