"Look South" and Cell filters through scripting

I am exploring the API and in the type of simulations I am running I always need to see vertical 2D slice of my grid, parallel to my screen.
In the GUI I simply pick the "Look South" option and use the Cell Filter to pick a J cell so I can see the cross section.

Sometimes I need to do this with LGRs. Are there methods in the API that allow me to automatize this?

Thanks for your interest in ResInsight. These operations are currently not implemented in the API. Please file an issue, and we will consider this when we prioritize issues.
