  • 不压缩：WebP 是未压缩照片的最佳格式；PNG 是未压缩文本图像的最佳格式，适用于线条和文本。

  • 有损压缩：AVIF 和 WebP 在有损压缩照片质量方面最佳；PNG 则是最佳的文本图像压缩格式；渐进式 JPEG 提供更高质量，但文件比标准 JPEG 稍大。

  • WebP is the best format for uncompressed photos (1.42x smaller than JPEG, 1.70x smaller than PNG, and 1.75x smaller than AVIF).

  • PNG is the best format for uncompressed text images (6.25x smaller than JPEG, 3.06x smaller than WebP, and 3.88x smaller than AVIF).

  • AVIF and WebP offer the best quality when lossy compression of photos, while PNG offers the best lossy compression for text images.

  • Progressive JPEG files are 5% larger than standard JPEG files.
