Hi there,
I am interested in building an app that shows me when a barrier (Bahnübergang, Schranke) will be open and closed.
My vision is to have an app/watch/carplay that shows:
- usual driving time to the next barrier
- the time the barrier will close considering the time it will take you to get there.
- current status (updated in real-time by processing delays in the transport network)
After a (very) brief look at the available data, I thought I ask for some pointers if and how this could be done.
What (I think) I will need is:
- the name and location of the barriers.
- timestamps when they open and close;
- if this is not available, it might be possible to calculate this by knowing which lines cross the barrier.
I came across this but I'm not an expert of the licensing topics involved:
https://data.sbb.ch/explore/dataset/bahnubergang/information/
I would appreciate any help about where to find this data. And cues whether this is possible with the currently available data at all.
