Add the ability to install and run ServiceControl as a Linux daemon outside of containers

Additional Context

In creating Linux containers we had 1 request to run ServiceControl as a Linux daemon.

As of opening this issue we do not have enough evidence that there are enough customers that would need this, and that running ServiceControl in a container will not fill the needs for most of our customers.

If you are interested in support for this feature please respond to this issue. It would also help if you could provide additional context around why and where you would run ServiceControl as a Linux daemon so we could determine how this feature should be delivered if we see enough interest in it.
