Describe the feature.

Is your feature related to a problem? Please describe.

Sometimes we get support inquiries where customers list configuration settings/keys that are obsolete.

Describe the requested feature

As all keys have a namespace prefix we can check if keys in the configuration settings are "active" or "obsolete".

Describe alternatives you've considered

Versions config file similarly like docker compose with a "version" attribute.
