Recommended modifications to the "Home" page

A section with a twitter snippet and news snippet (with a little automatic summary of the latest news post) should be included on this page. Current banners or sections could be shortened or narrowed to allow for this space.

There are some issues when seeing this page from a phone (Android, Chrome). I will edit this post and describe it here as soon as possible.
