Looks nice, I have zero artistic abilities, so other than this one, I can only think in using AI to generate one.

Should we worry of using the "format" of the current logo of Node.js? For legal reasons I mean

The tradmark of node it's the logo itself. "as it"

So we can use the shape of the logo it's actually just an hexagon. Also color it's near same but it's okay.
