[idea] T5577 reading with two devices #340

Hello everyone, I have an idea that might be very naive or even wrong, but I wanted to share it in case it inspires someone.

From what I understand from my readings, neither the Flipper Zero nor the Chameleon Ultra can properly read T5577 cards because they cannot switch between read and write modes fast enough.

When I apply a plain 125 kHz signal without modulation to some pre-programmed T5577 cards I have, using a signal generator, and observe the signal with an oscilloscope, I can see that the card modulates the carrier by itself.

Based on this, would it be possible to read a T5577 card by using two Chameleons — or a Chameleon + Flipper Zero combination — where one device acts as a signal generator (and, if necessary, sends the read command), while the other device acts as a sniffer?

I’m assuming the card is placed between the antennas of both devices at the same time.
