1) Think about why you are contributing to an OSP in a positive way. You should be thankful as contributing to it will give you a lot of knowledge and exposure.
2) Be polite, be kind and avoid any kind of offensive language / statements.
3) Choose the issues you can solve confidently. Start with labels like "good first issue" as they are quite simple and good for beginners to get started with.
4) Always read the README file which contains the information about the project and how you are going to proceed.
5) Dont start discussing off topic things or asking too many questions which would waste the time of contributors, instead keep the discussion to the point and meaningful.
6) Fix one issue per PR. Don't Complicate issues by trying to discuss multiple topics at once.
7) Respect the work of people contributing to the OSP and try to praise them if you like their work.
