Right-hand joystick (look around) inverted

Using the patch for AC2 and a PDP Neon Black wired controller. It's the version of AC2 on Ubisoft Connect. It seems to work fine, except the horizontal axis on the right-hand joystick is reversed -- moving the joystick to the left aims the camera to the right, and it should aim it to the left. Is there a way to reverse the direction of this axis only? I tried to reassign it in the controller options within the game, but when I click on the box to reassign it, it does not respond to controller input -- it seems there is no way to reassign it within the game.

I realized it's actually not just left/right - it's up/down too -- the entire right-hand joystick is inverted on both axes. It's harder to notice with up/down because it's how flight sim yoke control works, but really pushing the stick up should let you look upwards and vice versa - right now it does the opposite. I don't see any option for this in the config file -- is there a way to fix this?
