I’ve been trying to run your code on my emulator for a while.

I’m trying to run the CanvasExample synced canvas. I tried following your directions but would not run on the emulator. Then I copied some files over to a ngx-create-react-native-app project and I still can’t figure it out.

I’m familiar with react but I just don’t know how to get all the configs done right. I really like your code too. I would really appreciate help if any.

What are the values of the file example.config.json?
What steps did you do?

If that doesn't work try updating yarn add react-native-gesture-handler. The error seems to surface there but not sure if it's the origin.

I have one more question. How would you configure base path? I tried playing with it for a couple minutes setting localpath to false and base path to true. Is there something I'm missing?

Important notice:
There a 3 approaches to handle touch in this repo:

1. JS - bad performance (terrylinla's approach)
2. reanimated - works only on android (my PR), reanimated are moving to a different approach in their v2 so it seems a waste to support iOS...
3. native - needs to be implemented (android requires a little tweak to get it working). However, the last time I tested it, it didn't play nicely with heavy customization but a fix I pushed to RNGH might make the difference.

Yes. You must re-build the app npm run android -- --reset-cache for it to make an affect.

The base impl tests the repo without reanimated or RNGH as deps

Oh those are really interesting points. And yes your project is mostly working but there are some errors on two screens synced canvas and the updating screen. I would have to check your RNGH push out. I thought base config was running animated from node_modules but I understand now.

It's seems like you really know what you are doing with react & react-native like alot... thats very cool.

Are you a contractor or do you work for a company?
