webUrl not working anymore

Since we are using the 3.0 version, our checkout does not work any more. The webUrl redirects us to the checkout, but there we get an error that our shop is soon available.
If we use the same code with 2 api, everything works.

Any thoughts on this

Experiencing the same thing. The Checkout URL in v3 gets redirected to the Online Store password page, whereas it did not with v2.

@dtrdewaele you can remove password for Online Store and redirect any visitors from that URL to where your Buy SDK is. This will likely be the official answer from Shopify, as that's what they recommend for Hydrogen shops. https://shopify.dev/docs/storefronts/headless/hydrogen/migrate/redirect-traffic#step-2-redirect-visitors-to-the-hydrogen-storefront.

Hi folks, we have been working on a solution for this for a few weeks now (it is likely to ship this week!) so that this will become a non-breaking change for all JS Buy SDK users currently affected.

There are 2 separate issues here:

1. Your shop's Online Store channel being password protected now redirects users to your shop's Online Store password page when they attempt to access checkout, which did not happen in v2.
   • For this, the best option (even after we have patched this for v3) is what @andrevvm said above (so that if users click your shop's logo during checkout, they will get redirected back to your JS Buy SDK shop's page, rather than see whatever is on your Online Store)
2. Users can also be blocked from checkout when using JS Buy SDK v3 if the primary domain for your Online Store is not configured correctly or not pointing to Shopify
   • The specific URL on your shop used for checkout changed between v2 and v3 (due to a difference in the checkout vs cart APIs)

For both of these issues, we are addressing them internally - there will not be a new version of JS Buy SDK v3 released with the fix. Instead, all existing versions of JS Buy SDK v3 will no longer experience these issues.

Hi @dtrdewaele, the fixes have rolled out. Upgrading to at least JS Buy SDK v3.0.6 should contain all necessary fixes!
