You announced the Customer Accounts API service, which has generated significant interest among our merchants. They are eager to use this feature on mobile apps, i.e., through Sales Channels.
However, after conducting a deep analysis, we observed that this feature is not available as an API service for Sales Channels. It works with only headless app. We also had multiple discussions with the Partner Support team, who confirmed that this functionality is not currently enabled for Sales Channels.
Given the high demand from our customers, we would love to see an API that allows Sales Channels to leverage this feature.
Our Needs:
An API to get clientId to authenticate the Customer Accounts API.
Priority: High 🚀
Impact:
This feature will significantly enhance the mobile experience for our customers.
It aligns with the previous announcement of the Customer Accounts API, which has already set customer expectations.
