How can I remove just Thumbnail metadata from an image?

As per the title. I can create a thumbnail, but what if I want to preserve all metadata except embedded thumbnails?

You can strip thumbnail data from EXIF profiles using ExifProfile.RemoveValue(ExifTag tag) however, as with all ImageSharp operations that requires fully decoding and encoding the image.

Is it enough to just remove the ExifTag.JPEGInterchangeFormat and ExifTag.JPEGInterchangeFormatLength tags? Will removing those cause the data to be removed as well on re-encode?

I feel like that would still be missing something.

I just reread and tested the code, and we don't actually preserve the thumbnail information on encode.

As in ever, I guess we never allowed it because the data would be obsolete, it’s been years since this was written.
