Are we allowed to copy codes on the textbook?

Some of codes of the assignment 1 has been given on the textbook. Are we allowed to copy them?

Emmm... It doesn't matter whether you refer to some codes from textbook or not, but if you do, you'd better understand what they mean(citation is also needed), since in assignment-1, your MIPS has to support extra instructions (same in assignment-2, and there is a little bug in codes from textbook in A-2). What'more, in assignment-3 and 4, there isn't any code that you can refer directly, you have to depend on yourself.
