As PostgreSQL 12 is no longer actively supported, with the help of Adaltas, OECD successfully updated PostgreSQL 12 to 18 on Redhat enterprise Linux 8.10 on pre-production and production clusters. The operation can be done without interrupting running jobs. We used pg-upgrade command to migrate database to new release.
