Description
What version(s) of WoW are you using?
Retail
What problem are you experiencing that led to you asking for this feature?
As it is right now, you cannot enable Friendly NPCs without it turning on all players as well. As a person who uses name-only nameplates to easier find NPCs sometimes, I really need them enabled so I can toggle them on and off with the "show friendly nameplates" keybind. If I try to enable friendly NPCs, it also enables players. I do not want players. If I leave them both disabled, the cvar for friendly npc nameplates gets disabled as well, making it impossible to toggle them on and off with said keybind.
What solution would you like?
Let me leave nameplateShowFriendlyNPCs enabled, without enabling nameplateShowFriends/nameplateShowFriendlyPlayers, so that I can manually toggle friendly nameplates on and off with keybinds
Notes
As of now, I resorted to just commenting out the if-statement checking if npc and player nameplates are enabled (line 324-331 in Display/Initialize.lua) and it seems to have done the job
If I try to enable friendly NPCs, it also enables players. I do not want players.
To elaborate, as I see I have written poorly, if players are enabled, the nameplates will toggle on on every reload or loading screen. I only want them on if I manually turn them on with the keybind. Default key: Shift+V
