In my firefox menu bar, the extension’s icon is hard to recognize. The idea of a cat and a ball is nice, however, both elements are very small and may smudge visually. I asked some other person, who had the same problem.

If you share this view, I can try provide an icon that is easier to recognize in a small size.

(What would you think about a sleeping cat for inactive, a standing one, like now, for active?)

Hi @jdittrich thanks! There's been some discussion about it over on the mailing list with @telmiger. I've ended up moving away from using Motovun Jack altogether, as the image seems too detailed and fiddly to work well as a toolbar button.

I'm experimenting with these very simple variants. They look garish in isolation but have the virtue of working reasonably well with both light and dark themes:

The symbols seem good, the colors too. A problem is, that the symbols are very generic and could not be connected to tiddly wiki ("What is that ›-‹ for?"). So including Jack somehow (or something else that stands for TiddlyWiki) would make sense.

Hi @jdittrich in an attempt try to keep Jack, I experimented with variants of the images below, but I found that they are too unclear at the default 16x16 icon size.

I think, this issue should get a bit more attention. We see more users on the list that have real trouble. ... Including me. The existing "ball" icon is too small, to be seen

To have a productive discussion – is there an overview of the states and when they appear?

  • plain (?)
  • disabled (?)
  • enabled (When on a Tiddly Wiki and saving works)
  • alert (?)
