Cannot select option in advanced sub-menu in some language

Description

The sub-menu of the advanced menu disappear before a selection can be made in some language (I tested this to be the case at least in French and Deutsch).

The problem : If you click or hover the Advanced in some language the sub-menu appears separated by a few pixel gap from the main menu and it disappear before a selection can be made when moving the mouse out of the main menu (which you have to do because there is a gap with the main menu).

Expected behavior : Like in other language (I tested English and Japanese) the sub-menu should overlap with the main menu and permit an action to be selected.

Thanks for the detailed bug report! This appears to be a CSS positioning issue with sub-menus.

The sub-menu positioning uses inset-inline-start: calc(100% - 2px) and margin-top: -10px to create overlap between the parent menu and sub-menu. Since desktop hover is handled purely by CSS, the sub-menu hides immediately when the mouse leaves the parent menu area—which happens when there's a pixel gap.

The likely cause is that French and German translations are longer than English/Japanese, changing the menu geometry in a way that exposes this gap. There's no language-specific CSS to account for different text lengths.

Potential fixes:

1. Increase horizontal overlap (e.g., calc(100% - 5px) or more)
2. Increase vertical overlap (e.g., margin-top: -15px)
3. Add a transparent pseudo-element to bridge the gap between parent and sub-menu

The relevant CSS is in apps/client/src/stylesheets/style.css around lines 1325-1346.
