Swing-AI is a web (and possibly mobile) platform developed for Dr. Heather Roberts at Texas Women University to analyze UCP patients using AI/ML
At its core, SWING-AI aims to provide an automated way to analyze the arm movement of UCP patients to see improvements before and after treatment. Users simply upload a video file containing the arm swing movements of the UCP patient before the treatment and then again after the treatment. The system then uses computer vision to track the coordinates of the arm swings in the video. These coordinates can then be inputted into our algorithms to calculate the range of motion and movement smoothness of each swing. Finally, we use Wilcoxon signed rank test on this data to determine if there has been a significant enough difference to determine if the patient's condition has improved or not. These results are then available both as a downloadable file and as an interactive display on the website.
