I think that Mystmd can be really good for technical writing and making publications. I think it would be worth doing a talk on this! There is a bit of an ecosystem associated with this which I think would also be good to lay out.

Describe the benefit
Makes it easier to prepare publications without having to use LaTeX (also greatly improves interoperability - people can use Mystmd to easily switch between publication templates, for website generation as well as creating documents in other formats).
Would you be capable/willing to give the talk?
Yes (also happy for others to do). If I do it, it will be closer to June/July or something (in line with a publication I'm planning on writing).

Quatro is a project which is different but I think has similar goals. MystMD originating from the JupyterBook project (I think) and Quarto originating from RMarkdown.
