Summary
Three procedures in the feature flag documentation tell the reader to click a control called View archived flags inside a project. No such control exists on a project screen. The string occurs exactly once in the whole frontend, on the archived projects card in the projects list.
Checked on main at 3d91a51635859f13a5bc23547d323c19718629fb (unleash-server 8.1.0), OSS, stock config, admin user, Chromium.
What the docs say
https://docs.getunleash.io/concepts/feature-flags:
### View archived flags
To view archived feature flags in a project, click **View archived flags**.
and again under "Revive a feature flag":
To revive an archived flag within a project:
1. Open the project and click **View archived flags**.
2. Find the flag you want to revive and click **Revive feature flag**.
and again under "Delete a feature flag":
To delete an archived flag within a project:
1. Open the project and click **View archived flags**.
2. Find the flag you want to delete and click **Delete feature flag**.
What the project screen actually shows
Driving the documented path in the Admin UI — open the flag, Feature flag actions -> Toggle stale state -> Flip to stale, then Feature flag actions -> Archive feature flag -> Archive flag, which lands back on /projects/default — the archive itself works:
GET /api/admin/projects/default/features/tcref-ui-lifecycle
-> 404
{"name":"NotFoundError","message":"Could not find feature flag with name tcref-ui-lifecycle",
"details":[{"message":"Could not find feature flag with name tcref-ui-lifecycle"}]}
But on /projects/default there is nothing to click by that name. The captured page text for the flag-table area (the table header cells joined onto one line for readability, everything else as captured):
Feature flags (0)
New feature flag
Active flags
0
Develop
0
Rollout production
0
Cleanup
0
Archived
1
Add filter
Name | Created | By | Last seen | Lifecycle | development | production
No feature flags available.
The archived flag is accounted for on the page — the lifecycle counters read Archived 1 — but the label the docs name appears nowhere on it.
Confirmed at the source level
$ grep -rn "View archived flags" frontend/src
frontend/src/component/project/ProjectCard/ProjectArchiveCard.tsx:94: View archived flags
One occurrence. It is on ProjectArchiveCard, which frontend/src/component/project/ProjectList/ArchiveProjectList.tsx renders in the list of archived projects, and it is a link to /archive?search=project%3A<projectId> — not a control inside a project.
Suggestion
Point the three procedures at a control that exists — the Archived lifecycle counter on the project's flag table looks like the intended one — or add a "View archived flags" control to the project screen if that is the wording you want to keep. The "Flags overview" half of the same section ("click Archived flags") is fine; only the in-project instruction is affected.
(The docs source appears to live outside this repository — happy to move the report if there is a better tracker for it.)
