Compatibility with WHMCS v9.0 (+PHP 8.2) & Feature Parity Request

Description

1. Critical Compatibility Update
WHMCS v9.0 (Released Jan 2026) mandates PHP 8.2 or higher.
The current module version (v2.0.1) triggers deprecated dynamic property warnings on PHP 8.2+.

• Error: Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property UpCloud\Module\ClassName::$property is deprecated
• Impact: Fills system logs and may break strict-mode executions in WHMCS 9.x.

2. Missing Features (Feature Parity)
The following features available in other integrations (e.g., HostBill) are missing from this WHMCS module and are requested for v3.0:

• Private Cloud Support: Ability to define specific hosts for private cloud deployments in product config.
• Log File: Option to dump API requests to a local upcloud.log for easier debugging (or improved Module Log verbosity).
• Hot Resize: Product option to enable/disable "Hot Resize" without reboot.

Expected Behavior

• Module should run on PHP 8.2 without deprecation notices.
• Admins should be able to configure Private Cloud parameters in the Module Settings.

Thank you for the report! As a general note, it would be preferable to create one report per distinct issue (here we have two to four depending on how one counts them) for tracking purposes. We can have a look at creating sub-issues from here later though.

Regarding 1), could you provide some complete and verbatim samples of the actual deprecation warning/error messages originating from the UpCloud module seen in your server logs? I cannot seem to find any in our setups (running PHP 8.2), and I did not notice any uses of dynamic properties on a quick visual inspection of the upcloud-whmcs-module code.

Regarding 2/log file: could you elaborate on improved Module Log verbosity? We already log the request and response payloads (although the response data isn't arguably in the most readable form, even with #162 where we're passing it to the module log per the WHMCS module logging instructions).

Regarding 1) Critical Compatibility Update:
You are correct, the error  "UpCloud\Module\ClassName::$property"  was a placeholder generated during our preliminary automated code audit for WHMCS 9.0/PHP 8.3 readiness, not a verbatim entry from a production log. I apologize for the confusion there.

Since you have inspected the code and found no dynamic property usage, this is likely a false positive from our side. We will proceed with a manual test on a staging environment running PHP 8.3. If we encounter any actual deprecation notices, I will open a new, specific issue with the exact stack trace.
