CC Directory Generator

A GUI tool for creating, managing, and normalizing ClaudeCode project folders.

Python + tkinter | No additional packages | Windows 10/11

Features

Feature Description
Generate Create project folders with standard structure + CLAUDE.md hardlink
Update Master Safely update master CLAUDE.md (preserves hardlinks, auto-backup)
Check Links Verify CLAUDE.md hardlink health via inode comparison
Detect Links Auto-detect CLAUDE.md files and batch-register unregistered projects
Normalize Batch-rename inconsistent folder names (with dry-run preview)
Open in ClaudeCode Launch ClaudeCode in selected project (one-click or double-click)
Open in Explorer Open selected project folder in Windows Explorer
Dangerous Option Launch with --dangerously-skip-permissions (persisted setting)
Config Manage master CLAUDE.md path, default parent path, and options

Quick Start

Double-click to launch

Run_CCDirGen.bat

CLAUDE.md Link Method

Method Description Notes
Hardlink Default No admin rights or Developer Mode needed
Symlink Auto-fallback Used when hardlink creation fails

Registered Projects Operations

Operation Description
▶ CC Launch ClaudeCode in selected project (double-click also works)
Open Open project folder in Windows Explorer
Remove Remove from registry (folder is not deleted)
Detect Links Auto-detect and batch-register unregistered projects
Check Links Verify CLAUDE.md hardlink health
Normalize Batch-rename with dry-run preview
Dangerous Option When ON, launches claude --dangerously-skip-permissions

Configuration Files

File Purpose
config.json App settings (master path, default parent path, dangerous option)
projects.json Project registry (auto-generated)
folder_template.json Folder structure template (customizable)
constants.json UI layout values and rename mappings

Build

# Build EXE + installer in one step
.\build.ps1

Required tools: PyInstaller, Inno Setup 6

Output:

  • dist\CCDirGen.exe — Standalone EXE
  • dist\CCDirGen_Setup_v1.0.exe — Installer
