Launches but only with a balnk white screen on Debian-based OS

The past few releases of Verus desktop wallet will only launch a blank scree with no usability. Older versions of the wallet did not suffer this problem. Unable to find a workaround.

Are you attempting to use the pre-bundled version from the website or are you building it yourself in devmode? Also, does the issue persists on the newest version?

I'm gettintg a similar issue on
lubuntu 24.04 .
Launch as SUDO and a window with whitescreen. Launch as an admin, it runs but hangs at 'blockchain indexing'. A look at task manager shows Verus crash reporter running multiple processes.
Suspect the following error message from Terminal launch has something to do with it: "Libva error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/iHD_drv_video.so init failed"

May have found a solution over at Ask Ubuntu:
in terminal->
"sudo apt-get update"
then;
"sudo apt-get install --reinstall intel-media-va-driver:amd64"

Same issue persisted, so did the following per their instruction:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall $(dpkg -l | grep ^ii | grep -i intel | awk '{print $2}')

seems to have worked!
