Undeleting notes leaves them out of the composition

Instructions for reproduction:
Create some note bars.
Drag to select the note bars, then delete them.
Undo the deletion.

The note bars now cannot be selected by dragging, but they can be selected by click or with select all. "Play" will not play these notes.
