Option for Folder destination instead of .exe

F95zone has plenty of artist collections along with games, and I use F95Checker to organize everything from F95, including image and video collections. Currently, you can only use the play button to open a game executable, which doesn't work for collections without an .exe, such as art collections. I use a simple workaround so that F95checker tracks their file locations as well. I make a shortcut to the folder, and place it in the folder location with the art, and the program lets me set that as the .exe, but it would be nice if I could just set the folder without having to make a shortcut every time.

Basically, I'm asking for a feature/QoL to be able to set a folder to open with the play button instead of only being able to set .exe for such occasions as not being games. (Possible changing Play to Open as well would be nice if this gets added)

You can select any file in side the folder, then middle click the play button open the containing folder

That also means you could have a simple script in the folder that shuffles all media, so play button will play all media, and middle click opens the folder

Didn't know you could do that; that helps a lot. I do still think it could a nice QoL feature for others who aren't aware of that, or savy enough to do things like make a script either( I know enough to barely do this myself but I doubt many will/would be willing to)

this is now implemented in latest beta. imo the combined solution as described in the changelog allows full functionality as one would expect for image/video collections, while not being restrictive and allowing the user to customize how theyre opened:
