Username option for 'pub' channels

Can we have an option for how pub (etc) displays usernames? Like this?

1. Show user selected nicknames (default)
2. Show real usernames and user selected nicknames
3. Show real usernames

I'd personally pick #2 out of taste, but having this option also prevents people from being tempted to be sneaky and fake someone else's voice, similar to the brackets around spoofs.
