Description
While the tool has been renamed to adafruit-nrfutil, it is unclear from the descriptions both here and in _Bootloader whether there is the expectation to retain some compatbility with the original nRF bootloader (which they call "Open DFU Bootloader" in their USB descriptions but nowhere else).
Could the README clarify whether this tool (or the bootloader) is expected to retain some compatibility with the original protocol, or has diverged to the point where no compatibility should be expected? Either way, would it be possible to describe the protocol (in the former case in terms of differences, in the latter on its own)?
The similarity in name, and the general lineage, has caused some confusion in other tools as to what the applicable scope of a tool is.
