Changing Smart Home Monitor Status

Using the new SmartThings app, I am attempting to use CoRE to change the smart home monitor status based on a switch turning on. All of the other 'If->Then' actions work as expected, but for some reason the SHM status will not change. Is this a known issue with the new app?
