Keep cited-by results current as vault facts change #694

Description

@aidenlx

Parent

#689

What to build

Keep the complete cited-by result synchronized with vault and Zotero facts while the sidebar is open. The Citation Index observation owns every refresh rule, so the view receives coherent snapshots without subscribing to low-level citation, metadata, database, or backfill events.

Acceptance criteria

  • Literal-citation edits and position-only changes refresh affected results.
  • Wikilink-only metadata changes refresh affected results.
  • Markdown-note creation, deletion, and rename add, remove, or move source groups.
  • Literature Note rename, deletion, and zotero-key changes refresh target and wikilink resolution.
  • Link-resolution changes refresh wikilink results.
  • Citation-library changes and Zotero database refreshes update literal citekey results.
  • Citation Index reset, each useful backfill contribution, and backfill completion publish coherent states.
  • Related invalidations are coalesced, and structurally identical snapshots do not publish again.
  • Superseded asynchronous work cannot publish stale snapshots.
  • Disposal prevents all later publication and isolates observer failures from Citation Index lifecycle processing.
  • Reverse recomputation reads existing scans and metadata caches without reading note bodies or adding persisted reverse data.
  • The existing Citation Index harness verifies refresh behavior only through published snapshots.

Blocked by

  • Ticket 2: Include wikilink citations through Item identity.
  • Ticket 3: Report progressive and degraded citation coverage.
