Yes that's intentional, and creates an inked signature look. However this isn't ideal. I'd give an option for it to be disabled |

Thanks, @alam00000 that would really be best of both worlds! |

Just wondering if anyone else is spotting the same thing I do with signatures? I have a transparent PNG file for my signature.
If I upload that as a signature I notice it immediately smears the crossover points of the lines. It looks a bit like the ink being absorbed into the paper ;-) Maybe that's a feature! I've also tried uploading the non-transparent version of my signature in PNG, as well as in BMP format. They all do exactly the same thing.
If I however insert it as a normal image onto the document (the transparent PNG signature image) it inserts perfectly clearly. The snag though is if you have to sign a 32-page document on each page, there is no copy-and-paste, or repaste option, so it is a lot of opening the file operations.
I think the issue may be that the signature function, it is converting the uploaded image every time into a transparent image, and that is what is creating the problem which makes the signature looked a bit smeared.
My signature file has worked well for me for over a decade in many other PDF apps, so I'm hoping it can still be used as is.
EDIT Looks like plain old ctlc-c and ctrl-v will work to copy it. That is good news as a workaround. So maybe if I can better understand the clarity aspect of the adding the signature.
