error querying CLOB columns in Informix ODBC

Hi, I got the below error when I try to fetch columns of type CLOB and BLOB from and Informix database 14.10 + unixODBC + latest Informix Client

returns SQLSTATE 07006 (Restricted data type attribute violation)

not sure if the error comes from the Informix driver or from the ODBC package. Have you ever tried that?

I never used Informix in my life.

thanks!!, very helpful, checked your link and they advice to add NeedODBCTypesOnly=1 in the odbc.ini
works like a charm
