undefined behavior on inner blocks

blocks are lists, but they don't work as such.

{
    - ["a","b","c"]
}

and

{
    - {
        - "a"
        - "b"
        - "c";
    }
}

should compile to the same latex. it just doesn't. the compiler just gives up at the idea of that being a thing since blocks aren't in the parseListItem function.
