PyAEDT client/server usage

this might be the basic question
but when using PyAEDT in a client-server, does the same version of AEDT need to be installed on the client side?

I appreciate this reply is long overdue, I trust your work has developed since this question, I'll answer anyway in case it helps.

You don't actually need AEDT (Electronics desktop .exe ,FEA solvers which pull the licences) installed on the client machine. You can just run PyAEDT (Python library) on the client with AEDT installed on the server, (with the server being remote or local).

There is a list of compatible AEDT versions at link below, for now it needs 2022.R1 or later https://aedt.docs.pyansys.com/version/stable/Getting_started/Installation.html#requirements
