• Right now you are in the Announcements discussion. The DART team will post Community of Practice announcements here.
• The Celebrations channel is for sharing and celebrating achievements of any size. Did you fix a small bug in your code? Accomplish something big? Let everyone know so we can celebrate together!
• Data Challenges is where the DART team will post interesting problems to help you practice your data skills and explore the larger data environment.
• Q&A is a place for you to ask and answer questions about anything related to the DART program, data, data science, or biomedical research.
• The Social discussion is a place for you to get to know each other. The DART team will get this discussion started with some silly prompts, so go take a look!

Using this Space

This is a Public Repository

The purpose of this GitHub Repository is to build a data science community of practice for participants in the DART research study. However this is a public repository, accessible to anyone on the internet. While it is possible to delete your own posts, and the DART team will remove any posts violating our Code of Conduct, keep in mind that anything you say here is inherently public.

Code of Conduct

When you joined the DART study you agreed to the study's Code of Conduct:

All communication with program participants, staff, and content creators whether in person or virtual / electronic, will be respectful and polite. Inappropriate communication, especially harassment, will not be tolerated. Harassment is here defined as improper, unprofessional, or unwelcome conduct that might reasonably be perceived as causing offense or harm to another person. Harassment may involve any conduct of a verbal, non-verbal or physical nature, including written and electronic communication. Harassment can take place within the systems used in the program (for example, in feedback forms or in Slack workspaces) or outside of the systems used in the program (for example, in interpersonal emails or Twitter posts).

Examples of harassment include, but are not limited to:

• Comments that denigrate the intelligence of others or insult their educational attainment, seniority, experience, or understanding of topics being taught.
• Comments that insult or degrade someone based on their gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, ethnicity, race, or age.
• Non-consensual sharing of communication via screenshots or recording.
• Non-consensual sharing of unwanted images or recordings, including sexual images in public spaces. (in any format, electronic or otherwise).
• Deliberate intimidation or stalking.
• "Doxxing" (revealing without permission the personal information of another, such as their name or address).
• Sustained disruption of conversations, education sessions, chats or other events or communications.
• Unwelcomed sexual attention.
• Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviors.

Study staff, at their discretion, may remove participants from this program in the case of Code of Conduct violations. Participants are encouraged to report Code of Conduct violations to any program staff member.

GitHub also maintains a community code of conduct that apply across all repositories, not just this one.
