To get the displayed value, you can substract 0x3F from the value:

011 0110B - 0X3F = -9
011 0111B - 0x3F = -8
011 1000B - 0x3F = -7
011 1001B - 0x3F = -6
011 1010B - 0x3F = -5
...
100 0110B - 0x3F = 7
100 0111B - 0x3F = 8
100 1000B - 0x3F = 9
