Combination of RPI5 External 12V Power Adapter Step down

I got most components together

• RPI 5 with 2 GB Ram (yes yes ... i got 2 GB it was just 10 Bucks more at this time),
• GeeekPi Cooler
• Ugreen Capture Card 25173
• EZ-SP12H21 (but i currently thinking about testing Feintools Sp210)

Otherwise, I thought my thoughts might be of some use to people who want to build something similar. (12 V with external power supply)

As for that buck converter, I'm not really a fan of this kind of solution. If you're not using the official Raspberry Pi power supply, keep in mind that you'll most likely need to enable the usb_max_current_enable flag.
I also have these 12V SK6812 60 LEDs/m from a different manufacturer. They're still waiting for better days until I find some time to review them, but preliminary measurements show very high energy efficiency. Even with the classic 5V SK6812 (300 LEDs in total), 120W is a definite overkill: 60-75W is realistically enough for them if you use MeanWell and our HyperSerial drivers (white channel management) ... though in the case of Chinese or cheap power supplies, even that "120W" on the label might actually not be enough.
