Describe the feature you'd like

Currently, the AWS Instance Scheduler Lambda function does not support ARM-based architecture.
We would like a parameter to active ARM support.

Could you clarify a little more as to what the ask is here and what the use-case for it would be? are you just wanting to be able to deploy the Instance Scheduler lambdas as ARM functions?

Yes we just want to be able to deploy instances scheduler as ARM function.
Enable or disable it through a parameter

For what purpose? Is there a compliance or a cost reason to need to use ARM? Am hoping to understand the use-case a little better before considering yet another configuration parameter on the hub stack

any update on this? or has anyone tried switch to ARM? looking at the dependencies very quickly, i don't see anything that would be tied to x86_64

I am not personally inclined to make it a configurable option at this time but do plan on trying it to see if we can make it the default instead of x86. I just haven't yet had the time to test it sufficiently that I would be comfortable making it the universal default.

However, on the subject of efficiency. Some profiling we recently did on the existing x86 lambdas has identified that sizing the scheduling lambdas at 512MB is both substantially faster and slightly cheaper than 128MB lambdas for the majority of use-cases. This has now been made the default size as of v3.0.10 but since the value is configurable existing deployments will need to update the value manually.
