Attendance Management System using Face Detection and Recognition

This is a group face attendence project that deals with taking pictures of the ongoing class room and uploading the image to the system to scan the faces and mark the attendence accordingly Thus this save the time of the faculties overthe previous method where they need to take roll calls or due to biometric.It also save the system from any sort malicius practices taken during the class like : marking proxy of students


This project uses the Face recognition model library of python to mark faces in the system accordingly update it int the excel sheet

Parts of Application

  1. Login:Signup System : USed for the registration of new users
  2. Student Registration Portal: Used for the registration of new students
  3. Attendence portal: Used for taking attendence by calling backend python module
  4. Short Attendence Portal: Used for finding the short attendence of the system

Steps of using the project:

Make sure you have an active internet connection during the process.
  1. Clone the project to your system using the command git clone https://github.com/ayushverma14/AttendenceManagementSystem-FinallYearProject-.git
  2. Go to the directory of project and go to the Python_Source_Files.Run the command: cd ./Python_Source_Files
  3. Execute the command : node ../Backend/index.js
