Nebula has come a long way: from a CLI powered by a fine-tuned GPT-3 model to Nebula 3.0, which now includes support for terminals, a web browser, screenshots, missions, and AI assistance at every step of the way.
Although there are several autonomous pentesting solutions out there, we believe the secret sauce of every pentest engagement is human intelligence. That is why Nebula was built around the human operator driving the pentest, with AI agents acting as assistance.
This is what Nebula 3.0 embodies: a simple workbench with a terminal, basic code editor, web browser, notepad, and AI assistants helping throughout the engagement.
We have also modernized the AI options available. You can bring harnesses such as Codex, host your own AI models locally, or connect any other provider. Local models are particularly important for highly sensitive pentests where operators need the utmost privacy and control.
We have also included guardrails that help prevent AI agents from going out of scope while performing missions.
We hope you enjoy using Nebula 3.0 and would appreciate any feedback.
