API keys not app passwords

BS is ( predictably ) getting flooded with SPAM/scam bots

One easy way to prevent this would be to have a system for developer keys with at least some kind of minimal requirements for API access rather than letting anyone with an account do anything through the API

You should find some way to impose some reasonable barrier to entry for people who want to take advantage of your open APIs

I want not to have my followers filled with spam and porn bots

Describe alternatives you've considered

Not sure what else you could do other than maybe an invite chain which you can nip on the bud
