TL;DR Smartwatch Extensions does not, and will never share sensitive/identifiable data with any device that you do not own.
In the event that Smartwatch Extensions crashes, your device codename, Android API level, Smartwatch Extensions version and the crash log itself is sent to Google Play for review. Crash logs do not contain any sensitive information.
Smartwatch Extensions does not collect, store or send any sensitive information to any devices you do not own. Any device UIDs created or used by Smartwatch Extensions may be sent to and from your phone and watch, but will never be sent to any external server and / or devices that you have not installed Smartwatch Extensions on. Smartwatch Extensions may collect information about features you enable, disable, or use. This is on an opt-in basis. You can opt in/out via 'Send Anonymous Usage Stats' under 'App Settings'. Data sent to Firebase is anonymous, and cannot be viewed by entities outside of the Smartwatch Extensions team. Firebase may create an App Instance ID to differentiate your session from from others. This cannot be used to identify you, and is used solely for keeping track of separate app instances. This can be reset at any time from 'Manage Space' under 'App Settings'.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any libraries used within Smartwatch Extensions. Libraries used include, but are not limited to:
- AndroidX components
- Google Play Billing Library
- Google WearOS Libraries
- Firebase Analytics
