[BUG] Bug: - Rating and review system not working on Chrome Web Store listing

Description

The BrowsePing extension listing on the Chrome Web Store shows "0 out of 5 stars" with no ratings.

Users are unable to submit ratings or reviews for the extension, which makes the extension appear untrusted and unfinished.
This also prevents gathering user feedback through the store.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open the BrowsePing extension page on the Chrome Web Store.
2. Scroll down to the Ratings & Reviews section.
3. Observe that it shows "0 out of 5 stars" and no option to add a rating/review.

Expected Behavior

Users should be able to submit ratings and reviews for the extension on the Chrome Web Store.

The extension page should display user ratings and average star count once reviews are submitted.

Actual Behavior

The Chrome Web Store listing for the BrowsePing extension always shows "0 out of 5 stars" with no ratings or reviews displayed.

There is no visible option for users to submit a rating or write a review, even after installing the extension. As a result, the extension appears to have no user feedback or credibility on the store page.

This issue occurs consistently whenever I open the BrowsePing extension listing on the Chrome Web Store.

I am unable to see any option to submit a rating or write a review for the extension. The page always shows "0 out of 5 stars" with no ratings.

There are no visible error messages in the console.

Possible Solution

Check the Chrome Web Store listing configuration and ensure that ratings and reviews are enabled for the extension.

Also verify that the extension is correctly published and not restricted from receiving user reviews.

Hi @Priyanshubhartistm, thanks for reporting this bug.

The rating and review system is only available for users who have installed the browser extension from the Chrome Web Store and are signed in. Could you please confirm if you installed the BrowsePing extension through the Chrome Web Store? Please note that this functionality is only available if installed from the Chrome Web Store. If you installed it using a release file (zip) or build files directly, you won't have the option to write reviews and ratings.

After your report, I tested it and I do see the option to write a review and give stars. However, the reviews are not immediately published, and I believe Chrome Web Store needs time to verify them. But yes, the option to write a review and give a rating is present.

Could you please confirm if you are still experiencing this issue?
