Soil ID and humidty

Curious why not having a soil temperature sensor plugged in, your default 28-xxxxxxxx id that corresponds to nothing is giving updated readings. Also, is there anyway to hook up a dht22 sensor to display readings, or link a json txt file from a humidity sensor? Thanks

The script is updating the Soil Temperature on the web page with random numbers when the ID number you have in by default does not correspond to any sensor. Yet, the script is displaying a soil temperature, so shouldn't it not change at all?
The DHT22 is a temperature and humidity sensor. I was just curious if your code could take a json file generated by the DHT22 and display it instead of soil temperature.

Haven´t looked at this for a while but remember that I branched out from master at some point to the "demo" branch without merging back to master.

The UI is updated using sockets.

On visit, the server-socket get´s the temperature every second and emits it to the client. https://github.com/busla/farmpi/blob/demo/app.js#L215-L227

The client is notified and renders it (https://github.com/busla/farmpi/blob/master/ui/index.html#L268-L295).

To answer your question, then, yes it can receive a JSON file as long as the JSON file is structured as stated in the README:

You can see this in the Chrome/Safari/... console. It´s printed out there in the demo.

You will need to modify the code to read your json file and emit the results through the socket instead of reading the sensors.
